Anastasia Beverly Hills Shimmery Highlighter Glow Kit

It's Cultured Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit That Glow Blog Review
This is a review I have been really looking forward to writing. The craved shimmery highlight Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit is finally here. And isn't it a beauty?! I'm not going to lie, I must have visited Cult Beauty about 1000 times a week, checking it regularly for the launch of this beautiful Glow Kit. Anastasia Beverly Hills is renowned for its outstanding and leading beauty products. ABH eyeshadow palettes are praised for their pigmentation and their contour kit for making the best-sculpted face. It is also renowned for being used by the Kardashian's. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit, however, is by far my best ABH product I have owned. This palette has incorporated the most subtle shimmery highlight with the most beautiful pigmentation. Read on to find out why and for swatches...

The Shimmery Highlighter: Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit- That Glow:

It's Cultured Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit That Glow Palette Blog Review

As you can see, the Glow Kit is assembled with gorgeous shimmery highlights. When looking at which glow kit to purchase, I decided on going for the more golden and bronze toned palette named That Glow. For girls like me who have olive-toned skin, I would recommend this palette as the shades are so complimentary. I'm not a pink highlight fan anyway.

Anastasia Beverly Hills I bow down to you! The texture is velvety-smooth and the highlighting powders really accentuate your cheekbones, leaving them with a gorgeous golden glow. The Glow Kit comes with four different shades, all of which are uniquely stunning in their own way. The illuminating powders can be applied dry or damp but the best results, I have found, are always with a Mac Fix + spritzed brush. If you want a more subtle highlight, then apply dry, but if you are looking for a more dramatic and luminous effect, apply wet. Similarly to the Anastasia Beverly Hills powder contour kit, the individual shades can also be applied as eyeshadows. Don't you just love a multi-purpose palette? I have found they work well as brow bone and inner corner highlights and all over the lid. It is inevitable that an Anastasia Beverly Hills product would be universally flattering, along with multi-purpose effects.

The Packaging:

The packaging highlights the idea of the whole product. It transcends from a bronze glow to a white glow, labelled clearly in a beautiful gold 'Glow Kit'. As you can see it is massive! I was so surprised with the sizing of this product. The fact they are also refillable, also makes this palette even more desirable as you don't have to keep splurging on the palette itself. The back of the product is labelled with the colours, the ingredients and, almost, a blurb. The blurb describes how to use the product, what the palette includes and the colours of the shades. I would also like to state that this is a Cruelty-Free Product!

The shades:

It's Cultured - Anastasia Beverley Hills Shimmery Highlight Glow Kit Swatches and Colour
Left to right- Sunburst, Golden Bronze, Bubbly and Dripping in Gold.

Sunburst- Bright, luminous metallic gold with a metallic finish
Golden Bronze- Warm Bronze with golden flecks
Bubbly- Rose champagne with a pearlescent finish
Dripping in gold- Lavish gold with a vivid, reflective finish

Let me start with Sunburst. The description above describes the shade, extremely accurately. It is a bright and luminous metallic gold. This shade is probably my favourite. It is so subtle in the nature of its luminosity and looks absolutely stunning on. To expand on the description, I would say it is close to a white gold shade. Golden Bronze was the shade I was quite concerned about, due to it looking quite dark. I was surprised with this shade, however, as it is not as dark as it seems. If you have light-toned skin, I would not recommend this shade. But, for olive-toned skin colours it looks super dreamy and accentuates that golden tone. It works very well with the Mac Blush in Margin. It adds that extra highlight. Bubbly and Dripping in Gold, to me, are very similar in their shades. To the point I had to check they were both different by taking them out. Although Bubbly does seem to have that rose champagne tint, it is very subtle. Dripping Gold also does have more of a gold tint to it, but again it is very subtle. On the face, they do look different but in swatches and looking at the palette they don't seem to differ dramatically.

Overall, the pigmentation was always going to be phenomenal with these shimmery highlights. I mean it is Anastasia Beverly Hills. The longevity was very surprising. With shimmery highlights, you don't expect them to last all day, but mine has been with this ABH palette. I would recommend applying them wet, as I have said, if you are looking for that extra longevity. If you are going on holiday this summer, I would recommend the palette in That Glow. Every time I swatch or apply these highlights, I can't help but thinking how much better they would look with a tan. This will be the palette for summer.
