New Beauty Favourites

New Beauty favourites Mac Cosmetics Barry M It's Cultured
Once again I have been purchasing new beauty products, which I have been trialling over June-July. I have selected a few that have shined this month and I'll be talking you through all these recent beauty favourites. As always the majority are lip products but you can never have too many lipsticks - right? Some of these products are perfect for the summer whereas some I will be using all year round. Read on to see what I have been loving...

Barry M Molten Metal Nail Polishes - Copper Mine & Bronze Bae

If you are looking for a way to add metallics into your summer style, these nail polishes will do that for you. Just like all Barry M Polishes they do not chip after one day and last for a while. There are four chrome colours within the Molten Metal nail polish collection. Instead of incorporating gold and silver, I went for the Copper and Bronze. They have been my staple evening nail colours and glisten all night. For a close to rose gold shade, Copper Mine is perfect.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Body Restoring Lotion - Honey Treasures

After I came back from my holiday, the peeling began and so I went looking for a moisturiser that would prevent it. Within the collection of the Garnier Ultimate Blends Lotions, there are several types of specific skin types and different scents. I went for the Honey Treasures, which is catered for very dry skin. This is such a perfect post-holiday moisturiser and genuinely has prevented my skin from peeling. It is extremely lightweight and not greasy or sticky, which means it is perfect for applying throughout the day. After use, it leaves my skin feeling extremely smooth and nourished.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish - Give me Sun

For olive skin toned girls like me, this is your perfect bronzer. It gives a light summer peach tan to your face. Instead of using this as a contour shade it is great for bronzing up your face as a whole. With a light hand, it can give a beautiful subtle bronzed glow or with a heavier hand an all over sun-kissed bronze. Having said that, it is equally as gorgeous as a contour shade. It gives a natural satin finish, which in the summer adds even more to the sun-kissed glow we all desire.

Bh Cosmetics Round Blending Face Brush - 114

Quite a while back I wrote a post about the Bh Cosmetics Brush set, however, recently I have refound a love with a certain brush from the set. Not only is this brush super soft but it is rounded and angled to pronounce the hollow of your cheekbones. It is a cruelty-free brush, easy to clean and has high quality and functionality. This brush really is a great tool for creating the sculpted look to your face.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - Shade 20

The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is renowned for being every beauty bloggers favourite drugstore concealer and for being a dupe of the Nars Creamy Concealer. Although, the Nars creamy concealer is much thicker than the Fit Me concealer. The concealer hides imperfections and dark circles and is great for highlighting under eyes. The coverage is buildable but I would say high, although, it still manages to look natural and radiant. Again, although it is high coverage it is far from cakey. Your skin can still breathe through the product but leave a brightening effect. At only £5.99, you can't really go wrong with such a fantastic product. The only downfall is that I can see me going through a lot of these concealers and wish there was more product within the tube. Yet, I do invest in products I truly love and the concealer has secured me as a customer.

Mac Matte Lipstick - Taupe

The Mac lipstick in the shade Taupe, in my eyes, is so underrated. It is the nude for every season and is extremely complimentary on olive skin. It is a beautiful warm brown with a slight reddish undertone. I have pretty much worn this lipstick every day since I have purchased it. As always, the Mac Matte lipstick is velvety soft to apply, not too drying and lasts for a long while. Is there much point in me praising the lipstick as a whole? I mean Mac lipsticks are without a doubt leading in the beauty industry. But there is every need for me to share with you how beautiful this colour is. If you are looking for a nude this summer, which isn't Whirl or Velvet Teddy, then I would try Taupe. You won't be disappointed. For the swatch, scroll down.

Revlon Balm Stain - Shade 60 'Loveable'

If you are looking for a pigmented balm to keep your lips moisturised and tinted. A light-handed application, gives a soft and subtle stain to your lips, whereas more applications create a much bolder and glamourous look. If you are looking to use this for a bold lip look that will last, then I would not recommend it. After all, it is a balm stain and will require more applications. Having said that, for a day lip to help those cracked lips- due to the Shea Butter- and the colour range these are ideal. It is easy to apply leaving your lips feeling buttery soft and gives a high shine finish. Although there are ten shades within the range, Loveable truly stood out. It is a beautiful corally pink, which looks even more beautiful with a tan. I will be purchasing more of these to see through the summer in. For the swatch, scroll down.

Barry M Lip Liners - Shade 15, 16 & 17

Again, every beauty blogger has been raving about how amazing these lip pencils are. In fact, they have been closely related to the Mac Lip pencils. Inevitably, I purchased them. I mean at £2.99 each, you can't really go wrong. Each shade is again a nude... shock! But I promise each one is different and each works well with different mac lipstick shades, which I will get into in a minute. I have always been a bit of a snob when it comes to buying lip liners. By this, I mean I have only really ever bought high-end lip liners. From Mac to Laura Mercier. I suppose the only lip liners I own from a drugstore, which has lived up to the high-end expectations are the Rimmel ones. This is until I bought the Barry M Lip liners. Yes Barry M is all a brand we used in our teens... I'm thinking back to the dazzle dusts right now? And then we all started to purchase the Nail Polishes because, as I have said, they are chip-free, affordable and have a great colour range. But these lip liners are sincerely and honestly out of this world. They are velvety soft to apply but still give you that quality precise line. Not only this, they are extremely pigmented and very easy to blend in. In terms of dupes, I would say that the shade Rose #15 is similar to Mac Soar, Toast #16 is similar to Mac Stripdown and Blush #17 is similar to Mac Whirl. So if you are looking for a dupe of the Mac lip liners, which are way more affordable, these Barry M lip liners will not let you down. See swatches below...
