Five Things I Loved Last Week

As I haven't done a favourites post in a while, I thought I would catch you up on five things I loved last week. I will be doing a favourites post at the end of the month too, but for the meantime, I thought I would fill you in on five things that I have really loved over the last week. Each one of these items is definitely noteworthy and worth a mention of their own. My goal is to find five things each week whether it be beauty products or books, which I can bring to share with you all. So here are the five that I have loved last week...

1- Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Coconut Spritz

The summer has left my hair extremely dry and I was in need of adding back some moisture within my hair. I invested in a new shampoo and conditioner but I also rediscovered the Lee Stafford CoCo Loco Coconut Spritz. I have mentioned this hair product on my Instagram before and was using it for about 2 months. I got a bit lazy when it came to my hair, however, and stopped using it. Now the summer has sucked every bit of moisture out of my hair, I was looking through my draw for some oil and rediscovered the Lee Stafford Coconut Spritz. I have been using it for the last two weeks after I wash my hair (avoiding the roots) and the difference in my hair has been phenomenal. It feels silkier, softer and full of moisture. The ends of my hair no longer feel like straw. This truly is a great product and if your hair has suffered from the summer, I would definitely try this.

2- L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Re-Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner

I feel like me and L'Oreal are becoming spiritually connected. I have been so impressed with all the products that I have bought from L'Oreal recently and you will see more and more make an appearance on my blog. The problem with my hair is that although the ends of my hair get very dry, my roots get quite oily and quickly. I have found that because of this I have been overwashing my hair, which ultimately drys out my ends even more so. Yes, I was stuck in a vicious circle where I was trying to combat my dry ends and oily roots. When L'Oreal came out with this Re-Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner, that was aimed at preventing the over-washing and balancing oily roots and dry ends, I knew it was going to be a match made in heaven. Firstly, my dry ends feel extremely hydrated and revitalised with softness, shine, and bounce. Secondly, my scalp feels much more purified, oil free and fresh and light. My hair stays non-oily for 72 hours, which means the overwashing has been eradicated too. This product has really sorted my hair out and would truly recommend picking this up on your next trip to Boots/Superdrug.

3- Lush Grease Lightning

The change of weather and my hormones has really been aggravating my skin recently, which has caused me to have several breakouts. I went through all my skincare items and rediscovered the Lush Grease Lightning. The spot treatment has really helped to nip my breakouts in the bud and quickly. Now you know with spots, there is never a cure and if you are breaking out you do need to find the root cause. Having said that, Grease Lightning by Lush has really helped to reduce the redness, was gentle on my skin and consistently using this every day makes my spots clear up after 2 days. You only need to use a tiny amount and make sure your hands are clean when applying it to your face. Last week, this product really saved my skin.

4- Disclaimer by Renee Knight

If you loved Girl On A Train or Gone Girl, this is the next book you need to pick up and read. It is a psychological thriller with constant suspense. At first, the suspense is irritating yet I found myself unable to put it down. I needed to know the big secret. The story begins with the main protagonist Catherine Ravenscroft finding a mysterious novel on her bedside table and from thenceforth plunges her into a living nightmare. The mysterious novel named 'The Perfect Stranger' recreates in detail the awful day that Catherine became a hostage to her very own secret. As the novel progresses, you become more and more addicted to finding out the truth. You will find it very hard to put this book down.

5- Career Girl Daily

Career Girl Daily is a website that every career-minded woman needs in their life. For those who are fresh out of university and need tips or if you are an aspiring girl boss, this website will truly help you. It is an award-winning magazine that has career, lifestyle, beauty and fashion advice. The online magazine goes into great detail on everything career related such as 'How to write the best resume of your life', '9 pieces of Career Advice every 20-Something needs' and 'How to have a successful mindset'. It truly is a bible for all career-minded women that will help you become that girl boss you want to be.
